Affinity Group for BIPOC Educators

A 4-week series of discussions to help build community & capacity.

  • Starts Oct 2
  • 297 Canadian dollars
  • Online Discussions (hosted on Zoom)

Service Description

Discuss issues connected to equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice with a small group of people (22 participants) who share the experience of being a BIPOC educational professional in the Canadian educational system (elementary, secondary, college, university). This affinity group is offered for and facilitated by educational professionals who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour). These conversations can support you in doing anti-oppression work, help you develop rejuvenating relationships with a community of educators who are similarly interested in social justice issues, and offer you space to reflect on your personal and professional identity as a racialized person. Grow, recharge, and recommit to activist work by connecting with a community of educational professionals who are similarly committed to social justice principles. Keep reflecting and learning as you find accomplices with whom you can have critical conversations that inspire you to keep agitating for change. If you are interested in being part of these conversations but the full cost does not align with what you are able to pay at this time, please contact us (info@talkingtogether4change.com). We are happy to accommodate alternative pricing options. All prices include HST (#78459 0267 RT0001).
