Change Motivator - Difficult Conversations with Family (March 30)
Tuesday, March 23, 2021
A two-hour discussion about difficult conversations with family.
These are mixed discussions of 15-40 participants. Breakout rooms will allow for affinity group conversations.
Have you found yourself in a situation with a family member or close friend where comments or behaviours are anti-oppressive? Have you felt stuck and unsure of how to navigate the conversation in those moments? Join the conversation about how we need to reflect on our privileges and develop our abilities to approach critical conversations with loved ones from the stance of a learner, in a way that leads to understanding and change.
CHANGE MOTIVATOR discussions help participants reflect and grow as educational professionals, keeping you motivated to do social justice work and building your capacity to create change. Connecting with community that both challenges and nourishes can help you ward off the burnout associated with anti-oppression work.
