A 4-week series of discussions for white educators to help build community and capacity.
Practice having necessary conversations about equity, diversity, and inclusion with other educational professionals to support you doing activist work in your professional and personal life.
CHANGE STARTER groups are intended for educators near the beginning of their journey of social justice awareness. Perhaps you've read some books or taken a few DEI workshops but haven't had the opportunity to have in-depth conversations with others about these issues. Maybe you don't have a community of educators at your school with whom you can have these conversations. Deepen your awareness of how you are impacted by or implicit in systemic oppression. Explore how you can put social justice principles into practice. Change Starter groups are offered based on your affinity as either a BIPOC or white educational professional.
